TYA
The inspiration for the music on Tribal Sutras came from a stay in Australia and a deep experience of the Aboriginal culture.
The name "Tya" ('the earth') came from a book of aboriginal stories given to me by a wonderful native woman. I chose the name because I like the way the Aboriginals see themselves as part of everything. I love their close connection with nature and strong appreciation for life in general. With the music, I have tried to interpret their spirit in sound. |
