TURIYA
Turiya was born in Germany. Since her university days Turiya developed a strong passion for healing and creativity. In 1969 she married a royal German aristocrat. In 1970, after the birth of their daughter, she began her journey in the humanistic growth movement. She lived and worked together with her husband and daughter in Zist, the first German Growth Center for Individual Development. There she was trained as a Bioenergetics and Gestalt Therapist, and worked closely with many teachers, such as Allan Watts, Malcom Brown, Laura Pearls, Jim Simpkins and many others. What followed her time in Zist would change her life forever.
In 1975 she and her husband and daughter left Germany to travel overland to India. Navigating through Afghanistan and Nepal with their old Mercedes truck, their journey to India brought them to Bhagwan, a well known Indian mystic. The family became initiated into a spiritual path and stayed the ashram in India for many years. Turiya became a leader in self-development groups in the ashram, and was trained for numerous years by Paul Lowe, working under the close guidance of Bhagwan.
The sudden and unexpected death of her husband changed her life dramatically, and a new 'state of being' in the world was about to begin.
At only 32 years of age, Turiya developed and ran many groups and seminars. Creating many new processes with the use of eastern meditation techniques and western psychological methods. With these meditations, and her capacity for healing through the heart, she brought healing and understanding to thousands of people from all over the world.
After many years of training and group therapy Turiya created new works of personal development the most commonly known Path of Love, one of the biggest growing phenomenon's of personal development known today (www.pathoflove.net), as well as other landmarks that include; Love and Aloneness, Tantra, Counseling and Leadership Training. Her work is based on the interface between psychotherapy, spirituality and meditation.
In the recent years she's trained in Trauma Resolutions by Peter Levine and Essence Work by Faisal Muquaddam.
Over many years people have asked Turiya to record her daily meditations, as they were so deeply touched and became a powerful resource to healing and restoring the body, heart and mind.
Together with Parijat, Turiya has recorded this compilation of CD's producing a magical and healing sound that accompanies her gentle and soothing voice. These CD's have helped many people all over the world to relax and in times of stress to find a new light in side their hearts and being.
Turiya still travels the world offering lectures, seminars and groups to hundreds of people a year. In her pass time, however, she enjoys her paint brush and canvas. Trained in her early years as a painter she now spends some of her free time creating inspirational paintings (www.turiya4love.com/paintings). Through her art she is bringing meditation and sacredness into harmony. "I would call it Buddha art" she says. When looking at her paintings, they remind people of their 'Buddhahood' and a vivid remembrance of their true nature come to surface, and it is a sweet reminder of who we are and to wake up and become more conscious in this life time.
