Download FAQ

New Earth Records uses the standard MP3 format, so our digital files will play on virtually any computer or portable audio player, including iPods.

For your convenience, titles with more than one track are stored with each track as a separate MP3 file. We are currently in the process of creating .zip archives for full-album downloads. Because of the size of these files, we recommend a high-speed Internet connection to purchase these downloads.

There are 3 ways to access your download link(s) upon completion of payment.

    1) After completing your order you will be presented with a confirmation page that contains the download link(s).
    2) An email receipt for your order is also sent to the email address used to register your New Earth account. Near the bottom of this email receipt is the download link.
    3) You can always sign into your New Earth account and view your order information, including the download link(s).

Please note: You may download the file(s) for up to 7 days. At that time the link will expire.

Please purchase MP3 files only if you are comfortable downloading files. Because there are so many different system configurations, our staff is not able to assist with technical/installation issues. We have put what information we have about different systems and configurations below.

Please note that MP3 purchases are non-refundable. If you're not sure about your selection, please order a CD instead either online or via our toll-free number in the USA: 1-888-245-4482.

Download FAQ:

Q: Will MP3 files work on both Macintosh/Apple and PC computers?

A: Yes, MP3 files will work on both Macintosh/Apple and PC computers. Both types of computers will need an MP3 player such as: iTunes, Winamp, or Microsoft's Windows Media Player in order to play the music files.

Q: Where do my downloaded MP3 files go when they are downloaded?

A: When you click on a download link you should be prompted with a "Save" dialog box. You can then select the destination of your downloaded MP3 file. You can put these files in a specific folder or on your desktop. Once the file has been fully downloaded, you can then add the MP3 to a specific play list or drag it directly into your iTunes.

Q: When I click on a download link music starts playing but I am not prompted with a "Save" dialog box, why is this?

A: Some web browsers have a built or added-in media player like Quicktime. This means that your web browser will try to play the MP3 file instead of downloading it. The solution to this issue is a little different for PC and Macintosh/Apple users.

PC users will most commonly be using either Microsoft's Internet Explorer Web browser or Firefox. Internet Explorer and Firefox users can use the right mouse button to click on the download link and a menu will appear. Internet Explorer users will generally choose "Save target as," Firefox users (whether on a PC or Mac) will generally choose "Save link as" when right-clicking the link. The "Save" dialog box will then appear and you can select a location for your download to be saved to.

Alternatively, a user can choose "Save as" from the browser's "File" menu after the file has downloaded completely into the browser/Quicktime window.

Macintosh/Apple users on the Safari browser should hold down the 'option' key and then click on the download link. This will download the file to the location that Safari saves downloads to (set in Safari's Preferences).

Q: How can I download a full CD?

A: NOTE: Now that average Internet access speeds have risen, we are in the process of archiving entire-album .zip files to be downloaded as a whole. Until we have completed this conversion process, New Earth Records Full CDs are divided into individual tracks. When you purchase a full CD you will be provided with download links to all of the individual tracks on the album.
