FAVORITE QUOTATIONS:

Life is a mystery which

cannot be solved.
-Osho

Despite near-universal consensus among scientists that we are on the brink of an environmental collapse, our society lacks the will to take action. We're collectively paralyzed by apathy, inertia or lack of imagination.
-Yvon Chouinard

Bhikkhu Schober, co-founder of New Earth Records, vegan, organic food addict, pacifist, meditator. Involved in anything green and sustainable since the seventies when he participated in one of the first health food stores in Amsterdam.

ADDICTIONS: India (has traveled there every year since 1973), herbal teas, acupuncture.

FAVORITE PERSON: Osho (who helped me to make sense out of myself.)

FAVORITE FOOD: Masala Dosa from Annapurna, Santa Fe and Soy Chai.

FAVORITE MOVIE: Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth.

FAVORITE BOOK: Let My People Go Surfing by Yvon Chouinard (of Patagonia).

FAVORITE HOBBY: Spending time with my beloved (aka Waduda).

FAVORITE NEW EARTH CD: Always the latest!

MISC: Grew up in Hamburg, Germany. Baby Boomer, Beatles, Student revolutions, new lifestyles. Left Germany for Amsterdam and greener pastures (aka India) in the seventies. Took the magic bus from Amsterdam through Iran, Afghanistan to Kathmandu and Goa twice and spent 10 years in India meditating and sharing quality time with friends at the Osho ashram in Pune (now Osho International Meditation Resort). Created the video films ‘The Rising Moon’ and ‘Socrates Poisoned Again’ and in 1990 co-started New Earth Records (originally Tao Music) from Munich. In 1995 moved the headquarters to Boulder, CO and in 2000 to Santa Fe, NM.

VISION: No Goal but the Path.

NEXT: Plans to build an eco house and install solar power at New Earth Records.

WHY AM I HERE: My participation in the healing of this planet and creating well-being to its people is to release and market music which in its core has the vibrational quality of healing, meditation and celebration.

Waduda Paradiso

OTHER STUFF

SHE'S INTO:

Music, painting, dance, theater, architecture, life as an creative artist, An Inconvient Truth, movies, chic black pants, nature, hiking, tantric yoga, opera, veganism, cooking and eating organic food.

Waduda claims to be biographically challenged, due to the fact that she¹s still trying to figure out the answer to the eternal question, who am I? Nevertheless, her "biographers" here at New Earth have managed to sniff out a few details about the life she¹s lived this time around. Here they are, in no particular order whatsoever:

As the co-founder of New Earth Records, Waduda¹s job is to take care of New Earth's highly talented and sensitive artists and make sure they¹re happy. She's also NER's art director and makes sure our album covers look pretty.

Waduda studied Psychology at the University of Rome, where she became a regular contributor to the hugely popular Radio Donna, Italy's first and only feminist radio station.

She's voting for Lao Tzu for president.

She claims to have learned to hear the sound of one hand clapping from the great Hariprasad Chaurasia, whom she's also had the honor of accompanying on tambura.

At an early age, Waduda began her quest for the "truth." When she met Osho in the mid-70s, she found what she'd been looking for all along. She was spontaneously initiated into the inner revolution and began the never-ending journey from knowledge to knowing.

Waduda gives regular seminars and lectures on the subject of hypnosis and meditation for trasformazione, and contributes regularly to various Italian magazines on the subject of wellness, music and Eastern philosophy.

She lives in the wilderness of Northern New Mexico with her beloved Bhikkhu, and travels regularly to India, around the earth and beyond the "bleep that we know," always together with il suo amore grande.

Favorite CD: all of them.

Ryone Pic

An artist in his own right, Ryone is a digital pioneer hellbent on bringing to Earth a cosmic message of unity with a good beat.

Originally from Chicago and Michigan, Ryone has been in the Santa Fe, NM area for about seven years. For the last five years he has also put much time into working on his home in the countryside east of Santa Fe.

Angela DiPerri

Special Projects

Angela Picture

Angela is a fairly recent transplant to Santa Fe -- the result of a summer visit extended to more than five years. She grew up on the coast of Maine and earned a B.A. in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic - an education with a charge to 'Change the World' for the better in little ways and big ways. Angela is excited about being at New Earth Records, a company doing its thing to change the world for the better. She makes a ‘mean’ pot of coffee – one skill sadly underutilized at New Earth where herbal teas are the beverage of choice. If you visit, she’d love to brew you a cup – just ask!

Scott C. Edwards

Graphic Design

Scott Picture

I began studying art and design at the age of 4 upon discovering the endless hours of rapture contained within the cardboard depths of a simple box of crayons. My formal introduction into the world of professional design occurred after a brief stint inside the nation’s public education system. I’ve been working as a visual/digital artist for well over 10 years now and still find the various transmutations offered in my field challenging upon occasion. I’m not terribly comfortable with words so it’s probably best to look at the New Earth album artwork for additional information.

Web Developer

I am the Solver of problems, dreamer of dreams, and fixer of broken things. Spatial perception and organization fill my thoughts daily. Solving one problem a day keeps the doctor away.

I can't decide if my favorite part of working at New Earth Records is: the half-pipe, the dirt bike track or the owner's classic car collection.

Have fun!
