Digital Media

Being born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, I’ve been surrounded by the latest technology, the fastest and most energy-efficient cars, and an overwhelming amount of media for as long as I can remember. These constantly changing trends within the consumer society appealed to me and led me to pursue Media Studies at UC Berkeley. I often find myself analyzing advertisements, billboards, and social media posts – pinpointing exactly who it’s targeting, how it’s affecting the viewer, and how it contributes to social norms.

Working for the DoLaB this year gave me the opportunity to attend various music, yoga, and transformative festivals. With all the promoting I was doing, I knew that I wanted to be more heavily involved in sharing my love for spiritual music. A few weeks after summer ended, I made the trek out to Colorado for a completely new start – my lifelong love for powder-covered mountains was calling for new scenery.

As Digital Media Specialist at New Earth Records, I am responsible for maintaining and updating all websites. Additionally, I make sure we have an inviting, informative and interactive online presence. This means engaging with our audience through various social media platforms, monitoring and making necessary changes to Google AdWords, implementing SEO techniques, as well as managing the digital releases of our songs and albums on iTunes and Amazon.

The spiritual journey that I have been on over the past couple years has been a bit difficult for me to explain to others… One generalization that I can make in confidence, is that, nothing has ever felt so fluid and so rewarding in my life. I feel blessed to be part of such an inspirational team here at New Earth Records and am excited to learn values which far exceed my technical skills.

Everything changes when you start to emit your own frequency rather than absorbing the frequencies around you, when you start imprinting your intent on the universe rather than receiving an imprint from existence.”~Barbara Marciniak
