Web Developer & Designer
Ever since I can remember, I have always been fascinated with stories of all kinds. I believe in the power of the personal story as a way to understand the human experience. This led me to pursue media studies and journalism as a career. I graduated magna cum laude from St. Michael’s College in 2011 where I double majored in Media Studies & Journalism and Political Science. I am constantly interested in learning how to create digital stories about the world around us. After studying abroad in London my junior year and traveling throughout europe I developed a thirst for adventure travel and exploring new cultures. I’ve been to Bhutan twice for extended trips where I taught media literacy in collaboration with the Bhutan Centre for Media and Democracy and did some reporting in country.
In addition to journalism and storytelling, I am passionate about education and youth media literacy. I work for Youth Media Project, a non-profit in Santa Fe where I lead high school students in the production of stories for radio broadcast. I’ve also always been fascinated with technology and how it can help connect people and share incredible stories. So outside of my work as a journalist, I’m a Word Press web developer. At New Earth, I am the web designer and developer, responsible for maintaining and updating all web sites.
I’m a born and bred New Yorker, but I love the outdoors. I went to Vermont for college and decided to road trip to the southwest after graduation to explore the culture and natural wonders that exist out here. In my free time I enjoy hiking, skiing, biking and all kinds of outdoor adventures.
