New Earth Records artist and great Sufi friend Klaus Wiese passed on January 27, 2009. Mr. Wiese was one of the artists behind the previously-released title Qalandar, a collection of Sufi trance music. For the month of February we are offering one of the tracks from that album, Tscheschme-Mast, in memorial to Klaus Wiese. The New Earth Records team packed our bags and headed overseas to Cannes, France to attend the annual international music industry trade show Midem, January 18-21. There, in the heart of the Palais des Festivals, New Earth held court and managed an extraordinary schedule of meetings. As you may know, New Earth Records' DVD Birth Without Violence, by Frederick Leboyer, has officially been selected to screen at the annual Green Lifestyle Film Festival in Los Angeles. Filmmaker Leboyer is most widely recognized for his best-selling book "Birth Without Violence" that has helped women around the globe understand the experience of giving birth on a higher, more conscious level.
