December 2007 Newsletter





	2007 was punctuated by a somber note: New Earth artist Ruben Romero died. Ruben's music lives on of course, and in this December newsletter we would like to call attention to Ruben Romero & Robert Notkoff's Christmas in Santa Fe. Ruben's classical guitar and Robert's violin hit the note at every year's end. We've made the CD's 1st track one of this month's complimentary downloads, happy holidays to you as we remember Ruben.

	...is hard to do! In Dechen Shak-Dagsay's own words: "On 28th November 2007 Max Regli, Markus Heeb and I were handed over the Golden Award for my debut album Dewa Che, Universal Healing Power of Tibetan Mantras by my producer and Polyglobe Music Austria CEO Stefan Ackermann. This Award is a great recognition for our Music in Switzerland and we are all extremely happy. I would like to express my thanks to all of you who made it possible for Dewa Che to sell over 15000 times in Switzerland." On top of that Dechen was featured on Swiss National Television. The interview of Dechen was followed by her first Live performance on SNT and for those who speak German the interview can be found here. Earlier in the year Dechen Shak-Dagsay was honored with a Tibetan Music Award for "Best Spiritual/Devotional Album." Dechen is honored to receive this award involving her homeland and would like to thank the organizers as well as the people of Tibet. Congratulations to Dechen on a very prosperous year!

	Parijat, the New Earth artist currently based in Germany, has had the good fortune to be featured in the Turkish edition of Elle magazine. It looks like the (October '07) issue is every bit as fashionable in Turkey as the rest of the world, we just wish we could read Turkish to give you what is surely a flattering take on Parijat's music!
