Sleep is one of the most desirable commodities. All the research shows that a good sleep is essential for our health and well-being, not to mention our youthful looks! And a natural sleep is infinitely more beneficial and refreshing than a drug-induced one. But with our hectic and stressful life-styles getting a good sleep is not as easy as it used to be. This guided visualization is especially designed to give you just that – a deep, natural and refreshing sleep, whether at home in your own bed or on the road.

Before you start listening, you may like to try the following techniques, especially if your head is feeling hyped up with thoughts and plans and worries.
First, get ready for bed.
Then take seven deep breaths into your belly, holding the air for as long as possible before exhaling, but without forcing yourself. When you exhale, make sure as much of the air is squeezed out as possible, again without forcing yourself.
Then try gibberish, either pacing around your room, or sitting on your bed. Gibberish means letting all kinds of sounds come out of your mouth, speaking in a conversational way, but without using any language that you know. Just making nonsense sounds. You can add arm gestures, and be as crazy as you like. If you don’t want to disturb any neighbors, you can also do it in a whisper.
Do it for five to twenty minutes, as you feel. If you find it difficult in the beginning, start saying ‘Blaaa blaaa blaaa.’ and continue with whatever else you find coming out of your mouth. Enjoy being crazy – it is said that if you can go crazy consciously, you will never become unconsciously crazy.
In the beginning you may feel a little foolish, but if you allow yourself to get into it, you will find it a great way to unwind the mind. Then lie down, making sure you will not be disturbed, and let the CD guide you into a deep refreshing sleep.
